the ISMA team

We are a group of Christians linked to a number of Dutch student Christian unions and churches. Our common goals are:

• to help international students feel at home in Amsterdam.

• to give them an opportunity to make new friends in Amsterdam.

• to offer students the opportunity to look at the claims of Christianity.

Other groups

In the Netherlands there are about twenty other local groups like ISMA. They do similar work among international students and belong to IFES, but may have different names. At a national level, ISMA is part of IFES Netherlands, which is, in its turn, a member of the umbrella organization called IFES world. IFES stands for International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.

Why do we organise ISMA?

The God of the Bible is our motivation for making international students feel at home in the Netherlands. You are welcome to join in our activities, whether you are a Christian or not. Moreover, there are no obligations when you take part.

Support

For the international students the meetings, including the dinner, are (almost) for free. For this resaon, the work of ISMA is sponsored by various organisations, churches and individuals. If you would like to support us, there are several options.
